The Dermaroller is a cylindrical shaped drum with very fine needles, designed to stimulate skin cells and encourage new tissue formation. The procedure will improve the thickness of the dermis and the epidermis, improving skin texture and reducing wrinkles. The Dermaroller also has a positive effect on hyper and hypo-pigmentation and effectively treats acne scars.

The benefits of skin needling include tissue regeneration, skin rejuvenation, collagen induction therapy, wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation, pore size reduction, stretch marks, acne scarring and hair loss therapy.

We recommend starting with three treatments with around six to eight weeks rest in between. We will clean your skin and if required apply a numbing cream. Your skin is then needled 15 to 20 times ensuring a complete coverage of the surface. An even flushing is the best indication of a successful application.

The procedure is safe. Our clients usually return to normal duties within a couple of hours, however a pinkish tinge may last for 12 to 24 hours. For 48 hours after the application we recommend you don't apply glycolic acid, retinol, any acidic skincare products or any products advertising 'active' ingredients. We also recommend using SPF30+ sunscreen in the days after the procedure.
